The challenge

Falcon Engineering’s construction administration team was spending 1.5 to 2 hours creating each field report in Microsoft Word. The process involved constant copying and pasting, manual photo formatting, and inconsistent numbering. It took a lot of time to make reports look professional in Word. Tracking deficiencies also required extra time and tools — like Word, spreadsheets, and Bluebeam — to carry items forward and ensure nothing was missed.


The shift

Falcon adopted Part3 to streamline their field reporting process, beginning with a strategic, department-by-department rollout across the company. Despite some initial hesitation to move away from the “old way” of doing things (a long-standing process of Word-based field reporting), once the team got hands-on with Part3 and realized how intuitive and user-friendly it was, they were on board. 

The ability to set up reports in minutes, complete field reviews directly on-site, and issue polished reports without returning to the office quickly proved the value of the platform. The built-in deficiency list generator and reusable layouts became key features in simplifying Falcon’s CA work.

The results

By adopting Part3, Falcon has cut field reporting time by as much as two-thirds. Field reports that once took 1.5 to 2 hours to complete are now finished in just 30 to 60 minutes. The team is now able to generate polished, professional reports in far less time, with clearly labeled photos and consistent formatting throughout. Deficiency lists are created in seconds, improving organization and responsiveness. On-site reporting, particularly for smaller projects, has become possible using just a phone and voice-to-text — allowing reports to be completed and issued without returning to the office. 

The fast, helpful customer support from Part3 has also been a major advantage. Whether it's finding answers through in-app help or getting a personal response within the hour, the support team makes it easy to stay on track. As a result, the platform has quickly become an essential part of Falcon’s workflow across all new projects.
